VOLUNTEER IN BROADVIEW, IL
Except for the store manager, the staff consists entirely of volunteers. We are grateful to everyone who takes time out of their busy schedule to offer whatever assistance they can, whether it is a few hours or days in any given month. Over one hundred people volunteer in the store in some capacity each month. New To You is a faith based organization always looking for like minded volunteers to add to our team.
We always have a need for volunteers to work in all areas.
We need assistance in the following areas:
- Receiving and sorting donations
- Preparing items for sale, including minor repairs, if needed
- Putting items out on the floor
- Walking the floor during store hours
- Restocking the different departments
- Cashiering and bagging
- Opening and closing the store
- Aiding the website development
- Looking up value of items on the Internet
- Picking up of large furniture donations (including driving the truck)
