 WHAT'S NEW!
SUMMER

  Ah, summertime…

“Summer” means so many different things to everyone.  For kids, it means the glorious stretch of days and weeks without school.  New to You has lots of things to make this the best summer ever!  Games and toys for indoors and out!  Plus, loads of books to enjoy in the car, on the front porch, or in the nice cool basement.  Most schools have summer reading programs, so come into New to You and stock up!  Remember, research shows that seeing parents read is a great way to encourage our kids, so grab a book for yourself, too!

Many of us will be attending or participating in weddings this summer.  New to You should be your first choice for wedding apparel.  We have bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses galore, in a wide range of sizes!  For the bride, we offer many, many wedding dresses – vintage, boutique, and custom-made. Some are brand new, so stop in and see what our own local versions of “The Runaway Bride” have brought in!  And if you are attending a wedding, we have an abundance of styles to choose from – elegant, stunning, lovely, and colorful are words that describe some of these dresses!

Here’s a newsflash for you serious shoppers:  New to You has received a boatload of artwork from a hotel liquidator!  (OK, they did not arrive by boat, but that would have been a sight to see!)  The prices on these are so good, that even if you don’t like the picture, cannibalize it for the frame!  You’ve seen this done on those decorating shows on TV, now is your chance to try it yourself.  We recently had a customer use a large frame to make a collage of vacation photos – it looked fantastic!

Even if you never considered yourself a crafty type, summer is a great time to try a project!  We’ve seen customers remove sleeves from dresses for a quick update.  They’ve put candles into cut glass punch cups for some glowing sparkle.  In our furniture department, there are lots of wood pieces just crying out for some white paint.  “Wahh, help me, I am a dark oak dresser!  I am still sturdy and useful, but I am so ugly, please take me home and paint me!  And take off my hideous handles; they are made of some kind of beaten-brass metal.  Wahh!”  We hear this every single evening when we turn off the lights…

And speaking of paint… we have Benjamin Moore paint available!  Surprise your spouse by painting a room while he or she is at work.  Of course, if you buy the paint at New to You, the low price will be the best surprise!

There is something for everyone at New to You, so drop in soon and check it out!  Or just come in and say "hello", we'd love to see you!
